Thief Ant

Thief ants (also sometimes called "grease ants") are really small. They only grow to be 1/16 of an inch long and they range from cream or light yellow to tan. The queen (pictured above) and the reproductive males have wings, but the worker ants are wingless.
They are likely to be found in your kitchen, as they are attracted to fatty, greasy foods. They can also hide in walls, bathrooms, and outside in the soil or under rocks or rotting wood. They will steal food, leaving behind contaminates that may carry disease.
